Coffee Crusted Pork Chop

1 pork chop
1 tbsp ground coffee
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp kosher salt
1 tsp brown sugar

I took a 1/2 pork loin and cut these chops the width of my chef's knife to have an even cut. For this recipe, it will coat one large pork chop. Take a paper towel and pat any moisture on the pork chop. Liberally coat each side with the coffee rub mixture. Allow pork chop to sit for about 5-10 minutes.

Heat a cast-iron skillet to medium heat. Place pork chops and cook on 6 minutes per side turning once.

Place chop in a preheated 350 degree oven and cook for 12-14 minutes. After 12-14 minutes remove and let rest for 5 minutes.

Pair with some sweet potato fries and you have a great bittersweet pork chop!
