Mango-Chili Trout


1 small trout filet
1 tsp kosher salt
2-3 tsp ZAS mango chili seasoning
1 tsp black pepper.
1 tsp butter
2 tsp avocado oil

Place trout on a cutting board and pat dry with a paper towel. Evenly sprinkle salt, pepper, and only 2 tsp of mango chili seasoning on both sides of filet.

Heat a cast-iron skillet on medium high and add butter and avocado oil. Allow butter to be melted and pan to be hot. Add trout to pan and cook on each side for 4 to 5 minutes, without touching while cooking.

Place pan in a preheated 300 degree oven and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and rest for 2-3 minutes. If desired, sprinkle a small amount of mango chili seasoning on top. I served my trout with bacon wrapped asparagus and sauteed zucchini. Enjoy!
